Summary:This report summarizes all the works in design automation of RF IC layout as final year project. The objective of this project is to create a design automation focusing on varactor. The design shall promote user in quickly and automatically generating their design layout. The implementation is written using Cadence’s SKILL code. Large amount of time were utilized in studying the literature review of varactor and implementation of design automation. Resulting from the automation, user shall be greatly advantage from statistic graphs provided which will give visibility to understand the behavior before finalize their design. This project can be further extended to design automation of other component which would definitely reducing the time in designing IC to market.
