description Over the years of technological advancement, human-induced factors like Urbanisation and Industrialisation have been developing at a rate ever faster than before. Substantially expanding and stabilising the economy and population of numerous countries, on the other hand, straining on finite resources like land and water. Making Food security an increasingly critical global issue as traditional methods of farming can no longer fulfil the needs of its people and food security. Leading to the rapid development of Urban farms using technologically advanced methods to boost its crop production and the country’s self-sustainability. In this research, the author will be looking into the development of a drip irrigation setup in hydroponics to discover how the shape of the grow trays and the media affects the irrigation rate and volume. Followed by a conclusion on the most efficient media for hydroponics using the drip irrigation method.
