Description
Summary:Mid-infrared (MIR) detections have a very big impact on both spectroscopy application and thermal imaging. MIR spectroscopy uses a different type of technique that enables structure determinationof biological molecules as well as examination of many types of gas molecules. Improving the detection can be done by converting MIR radiation to Visible and near-infrared (NIR) regions. This process will not only help in reducing cost, but it is also easily integrated into the system. Existing methods which are the Upconversion nanoparticles (UCNP) has its own limitation. For example, Upconversion nanoparticles method main challenge it faces is having to overcome the poor efficiently it has and the limited response range.
