Description
Summary:X-ray has been a pivotal medical diagnostic tool and security scanning since its inception. Over the years X-ray has improved a little but not drastically as its concept remains the same despite it being a 128-year-old technology. This report aims to present a comprehensive review of X-ray sources and Radiology techniques to further understand the fundamentals of X-ray technology and introduce a way to further improve X-rays. This report delves into MATLAB capabilities in medical image enhancement namely contrast and intensity adjustment and edge detection. An interactive graphics user interface will then be created using MATLAB implementing all the image processing discussed to further improve medical images. The user interface aims to improve details of medical images such as X-rays and CT scans to help in medical diagnostic.
