Summary:Colour Vision Deficiency (CVD) is one of the world’s most common genetic conditions. Individuals with CVD have issues with distinguishing between hues, which causes numerous difficulties in their daily lives such as being unable to tell the colours during laboratory experiments or colours on the colour wheel. Furthermore, it may also be challenging for them to catch up with the pace during lessons and they tend to make small mistakes due to misunderstanding, causing them to lack confidence. Although there are items currently available to aid individuals with CVD such as colour detector applications and colour-blind glasses, however, these items are only able to support certain individuals and are quite costly. Therefore, this project aims to develop an affordable and portable colour detector device to enhance comprehension of information related to colours for an individual with CVD particularly in preschool, primary and secondary school, to enhance their learning and way of living.
