This would lead to irreversible damage to the human eye, interfering with eyesight and resulting in blindness. To mitigate these risks, this report will present an alternative solution to the power supply technology for smart contact lenses. The study and fabrication of the smart contact lens flexible aqueous battery that is biocompatible with the human eye will be introduced in this report. The fabrication of the battery involves Copper Hexacyanoferrate (CuHCFe) as the cathode and Prussian Blue (PB) as the anode. The battery will be embedded in the soft lens that is made of UV-polymerized hydrogel. The flexible aqueous battery’s performance was evaluated by conducting the cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic cycling with potential limitation (GCPL) test in a simulated tear-based solution. Thus, these two tests have helped to attest to the mechanical stability and biocompatibility of the battery without the risk of battery failure.
