As a matter of fact, the only example in the literature has been Proto-Burmese-Yipho (PBY) *nat-*nan2 'spirit/animistic deity' (Matisoff 1972 thereafter TSRI, #136), from PTB *flak 'ill/pain' (STC #80) via 'spirit of illness' (cf. WT nad illness').1 It now appears, however, that Lahu itself has at least three other forms that reflect this nominalizing suffix:
