Summary: | This project aims to study the optimisation of racing trajectory through Formula 1 corners with the goal of minimising lap times. We tested existing methods on our simulated Formula 1 race track and analysed the results. To improve the versatility and effectiveness of existing methods , a new method was proposed that involved the discretization of the reference line into segments of equal length. With this method, we saw a reduction in lap time by a second. |
