description “Gai Hei Yan (The Cat, the Moth and the Costume Maker)” is a computer-generated animation short. It revolves around Singapore’s Cantonese opera scene, a rich tradition on the verge of vanishing forever from our very streets and open spaces. The story starts off with a cat grieving over her dead master who is once an opera costume maker. In her attempt to fulfill her master’s death wish, she meets with an unexpected visitor. With his assistance, she accomplishes her mission. For this project, I am collaborating with Zou Xin Ru, the director and fellow co-worker, Ang Yi Xin. My responsibilities lie mainly in the technical aspects of animation, rigging as well as in the more creative field of animation.
