description This dissertation describes a study which has developed and tested new productivity indicators for productivity measurement of future (public housing) upgrading projects. The report also studies the construction productivity of six upgrading projects (demonstration phase of government's massive upgrading programme) and selected major upgrading works. A survey was carried out on the six on-going upgrading projects for a period of 12 months. New productivity indicators were used for the productivity measurement of the upgrading projects at various measurement levels. The results revealed the productivity performance of each of the upgrading projects, and also showed its effectiveness and usefulness for comparing productivity among projects. The study ends with recommended based value productivity for productivity comparison of future upgrading (public housing) projects.
