Efficient resource management algorithms in a distributed video-on-demand system
This thesis addresses the resource management problem in a distributed video-on-demand (VOD) system. The objectives of the resource management problem are to manage video objects in a distributed VOD system, balance the load among video servers, and minimize the time taken to service video requests.
