Description
Summary:In this paper we suggest the use of tactile feedback in terms of vibration with mathematics multimedia educational software for elementary students. We also discuss on the benefits of tactile feedback in different fields and the potential positive impact on multimedia educational system. We designed and evaluated the multimedia education software with tactile feedback using a comparative user study. Only 3 types of information were tested for translation into vibration. They are count, direction and comparison. Different levels of difficulty were studied in appreciation of the effect of vibration on the different level of difficulty in each question. The results of the experiment were presented with the number of correct answer and satisfaction level as dependent variable. We had also discussed the implementation implications and conclude with a detailed user study for evaluating the effect of vibration on different type of question.
