description Research on the effects of napping and taking caffeine on memory has been generally researched separately. This study aimed to bring both activities together and tested the effects of how naps and consuming caffeine can assist memory encoding and retrieval at the same time. In addition, the study explored for the first time the effects of caffeinated naps on memory encoding and retrieval. Results showed that there is an improvement in scores when participants solely took naps or consumed caffeine. Interestingly, even though no synergy effects was found in caffeinated naps on memory, caffeinated naps participants scores were the highest compared to the rest of the groups.
