description Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is implemented in Microgrid to realize real-time monitoring, controlling and managing via wireless communication among components. IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.16 standard based technology, application of Wi-Fi and WiMAX has spread through rapidly. This project is to verify if it is applicable to implement them into Microgrid. During experiment, data was measured through point-to-point connection with LOS and ULOS environment respectively. Wi-Fi performance is evaluated mainly by SNR and throughput; WiMAX is analyzed by CIR, SNR, SNIR, and CINR.
