description The aquarium hobby has been around for awhile. It may have evolved throughout the years where the type of habitat emulated and the occupants reared by the aquarium hobbyist may have change due to trends and availability of new breeds of fishes and tank occupants. But one thing for sure, the hobbyist do treasure the value of their aquarium both financially and emotionally. Therefore it is the aim of this project is to protect the hobbyist from losing their aquarium and its occupants. The project tends to do this by providing a device which is able to reduce the toxicity of the water in the aquarium which had built over time. This was done by looking into a design concept that is able replace the hobbyist job of doing the partial water change process periodically. The design concept contains components that, when assembled, are able to do the partial water change process automatically and without the supervision of the hobbyist. Upon assembly, the design concept was put on a few test runs to check for its workability and further improvements.
