description Inventory management has been consistently striving for improvements to achieve optimal solutions. Success models such as the Kanban system and Material Resource planning (MRP) systems have been put into practice. In order to significantly aid best practices in both models, real-time monitoring through Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) can be adopted. By recognizing the abilities of both the hardwares and softwares available in the market today, good decision making can be practised. These decisions, together with data obtained from RFID middleware, can help to achieve optimal orders. In addition, stock taking time for accounting purposes can be reduced. Thus, this project hopes to create a model by conducting a case study of a company to help explore the feasibilities of adopting RFID. Equipments used in this study include a handheld RFID computer, passive tags, RFID readers and its related software. These were used for testing errors and interferences. With the information collected, decisional tools can be recommended for optimal solutions. Return of Investments was also calculated as it is the primary concern of organizations. Findings from this study have shown how RFID technology can increase labour productivity and serve as a platform to expand to the whole supply chain.
