description In Authorship and Film, Janet Staiger said, “authorship is always a way of looking at films” (28). Film is a medium that necessitates the effort of a whole team to produce. This analysis will help us better understand the relational factors between authorship and films. Then, I will be examining on how different manifestations of authorship theories can be put into perspective of the Singapore film industry. With that, I argue that Singapore film authors are created through different cultural and social occurrences.
