description The aim of this dissertation has been to provide a specially - written introduction to the subject, together with a reference section which will enable those who are involved in pipeline construction especially aviation fuel hydrant pipeline to delve deeper into any particular aspect. Modern pipelines are used for conveying crude oil and its products, gas, water, sewage, slurries and even solids, and each type of pipeline poses its particular problems. Distribution networks are outside the scope of this dissertation. No amount of careful design and specification of materials will make an acceptable operational pipeline if it is not well constructed, inspected and tested. This dissertation describes the major construction phases.
