The English-speaking community refers to those who have a good command of the English language, not only using English to think, but also adopting it as a working and social language. The English-speaking community includes the British Colonial Government officials and people of the various races namely, the Chinese, Malays and Indians. A number of the English-speaking community members are proficient in English as well as in other languages. |
