Description
Summary:With professional image editing tools readily available in the market and the widespread adoption of digital images, a person cannot simply believe what he or she sees anymore as authentic as it has become increasing easy to create doctored images. In this project, we look at one of the methods to detect doctored images. The method relies on a feature of some doctored images called the JPEG Ghost. The basic principle for the method was tested with ten images and the effect was found to be consistent. Another test was conducted to see the visual appearance of the JPEG Ghost, the results show consistent appearance of the JPEG Ghost in all the images but the JPEG Ghost tend to blend into uniform areas.
