Description
Summary:Previous studies have shown the fines portion of the total suspended loads in urban runoff accounts for large proportion of total pollutant load. As the primary method of particulate removal is by sedimentation, the knowledge of particle sizes and its fate of transport is necessary in the removal process. In addition, as particulate size fractionation in urban storm water runoff is dependent on meteorological patterns, soil types and land use types, a local study needs to be carried out.
