description To keep up with the rising population in Singapore, land reclamation has been our solution to our land constraits. And with the banning of imported sand from Indonesia, sand price has rose tremendously, as sand is the main components of land reclamation. Not only has that, concrete which has been used in building construction since the late 1970s, required the sand as their components. Many researchers have been find ways in the recent years to outdo the use of sand in land reclamation due to its high cost. One ways to resolve is using a new technology, Biocementation (or microbial cementation), this make it possible to replace the expensive sand with inexpensive methods using clayey soil. In this research, it explore the 2 clayey soils, Kaolinite and Marine Clay, and their possibilities to be use as the main components in land reclamation.
