Description
Summary:Greenery in urban cities is increasingly scarce with more allocation for commercial and residential needs due to rising population demands. Using a contingent valuation survey, the project aims to quantify the monetary value of Gardens by the Bay (GBB), located behind the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort. A hypothetical scenario was posed to elicit respondents’ willingness to pay (WTP) for an entrance fee into the garden. The entrance fee collected will be used as maintenance of the garden to ensure its continuous up-keeping and operations.
