Sumario:Four shapes of 9,10-diphenylanthracene (DPA) nanostructures, namely: microoctahedral, nanorods, nanowires and nanospheres have been synthesized via surfactant-assisted self-assembly process. The morphologies of the obtained nanostructures were observed under scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). In order to determine the crystal structure and orientation of the nanomaterials, X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), ultra-violet-visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy were used for further characterization. The experimental results showed that the concentration of DPA in tetrahydrofuran (THF) solution and the use of different surfactants do affect the shape and size of DPA nanostructures.
