Description
Summary:This report describes the development of a system that uses an Android based mobile phone to receive and display live images streamed from a remote server connected to a camera, allowing the user to make instant decision for the capture of the photo images observed remotely. This remote capture of image(s) can be done wirelessly over a distance of 100 meters. The scopes of this project include the investigations of the capabilities of the Android devices and the study of the protocols suitable for image streaming, and the implementation of software modules that are capable of performing the above mentioned functionalities. In this report, we will first compare the protocols that are suitable and available for the intended application, and use this knowledge to design and implement the system during the implementation cycle.
