Mixing video teaching with laboratory lessons is a concoction that will make the learning experience more engaging and better supplement written protocols that students are provided with. Here in the School of Biological Sciences (SBS) in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) however, it remains a largely unexplored teaching resource. As such, we believe that it could promise to be beneficial to explore this option and have thus decided to work on creating a video teaching aid. The first of its kind in SBS, this video will endeavour to guide students through the experiment on GST protein extraction and purification. |
