Summary:Lately, customers’ expectations and demands are increasingly higher than before. In order to sustain their business, companies have to maintain a healthy balance between meeting their needs and gaining sufficient profit margins. One possible business strategy is to adopt integration. This report serves to examine integration, particularly in the warehousing and distribution sector of the shipping industry in Singapore. The advantages and disadvantages of integration, as well as the reasons and obstacles of integration, are established and further examined.
