description This Final Year Report will present the outcome of an investigation into the bidding strategy for Distributed Generation (DG) in a deregulated electricity market. Uncertainty pertaining to the market prices, solar availability and imbalance settlement rules were taken into account in the analysis. It was observed that these uncertainties together with the success rate and the probability of generating the offered quantity would affect the DG owner bidding strategy. The proposed analysis techniques could be translated to a linear programming problem and solved using commercially available software. Appropriate conclusions are duly drawn.
