Geometrical defect and magnetostatic coupling in multi-nanowire system.

We have found that when domain walls are present in two closely spaced nanowires, a Head-to-Head domain wall in one wire will be attracted to a Tail-to-Tail domain wall in the adjacent nanowire. Description
Summary:We have found that when domain walls are present in two closely spaced nanowires, a Head-to-Head domain wall in one wire will be attracted to a Tail-to-Tail domain wall in the adjacent nanowire. Applying spin-polarized current to any of the nanowire in this case will move the two domain walls as a composite object, with the domain wall within the nanowire in which current is applied dragging the other domain wall within the adjacent nanowire where no current is applied. The zero current domain wall motion is mediated through the magnetostatic interaction.
