description The WSNs have been widely used in applications such as monitoring various environment conditions, due to its outstanding withstanding ability. Most of these applications required the localization information of sensor nodes. There are already many researches done on the localization algorithms for WSNs. This report focuses on studying these algorithms and simulates the selected APIT, MCL and MSL localization algorithms to draw graphs of the estimated error result versus anchor number are generated for analyzing on the lower bound. Through the project, Matlab and Microsoft Excel were used to conduct data analysis. C++ and Java were used to simulate localization algorithms. Simulation results showed that APIT requires a higher anchor density and MSL had a much higher accuracy than MCL. The overall lower bound is around two units for all the simulations. It lays foundation for future research to extend the analysis by exploring more algorithms and complex cases.
