In order to conciliate the more and more outstanding conflict between water shortage and the severer water pollution situations, it is of significance to increase the process of wastewater purification. However, natural organic matter (NOM), for which humic acid accounts a major part having been demonstrated to be a key issue for water pollution. It is necessary to remove humic acid in waters to ensure safe water accessibility to all the populations. In this study, TiO2/UV photocatalytic oxidation and membrane filtration process (MF/UF) was integrated to remove humic acid.
