The invention of wireless internet and mobile computing has revolutionized the communication and the lifestyle of people. Assisted by the emerging of Mobile Phone and Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), people are demanding for more and more supplicated location information when they are on the move. However, these devices have virtually no idea of where they are or what is nearby. Imaging if a person gets on an airplane in Changi Airport and lands in Paris, chances are that his/her PDA won't even tell that the location has changed. Global Positioning System (GPS) perhaps is the most familiar technology that provide Location Based Services (LBS), nevertheless, GPS is totally useless under indoor where there is no line-of-sight to the satellite. But, this is about to be changed by integrating LBS across short-range wireless network.
