The efficiency of inter-vehicular communication is significantly influenced by the high degree of mobility of the communicating vehicles. Aimed at improving the communication effectiveness, in the dissertation, a mobility model and a clustering algorithm have been developed to establish a strong foundation for efficient vehicular communication. The mobility model proposed explicitly takes into consideration most of the real-life constraints and is powerful enough to capture a variety of realistic scenarios. The model involves creating a pathway grid and generating the movement pattern of mobile nodes.
