The films included in this article are the first-hand information reported in the press and advertisement, which has a high degree of accuracy. Meanwhile, this article will divided the development of Chinese-language films in Singapore and Malaysia into three stages, and use some relevant movies as supplementary material to discuss, explore the features of “Malayanization Chinese-Languages Cinema” in different period. In addition, this article will analyze Yi Shui’s Chinese-Language Films, The Lion City and Black Gold, to investigate the characteristics of Chinese-Language Film and a variety of phenomena. Lastly, this article will make a conclusion to this topic, and proposed the status of Chinese-language Films’ development today in Singapore and Malaysia. |
