Description
Summary:This report shows the experiences and work done by Chye Wun Wei, on his Final Year Project. The final year project’s purpose is to design and integrate Magento eCommerce with face recognition application. Both applications are standalone software before the integration and are not pre-built. Magento eCommerce serves as an e-Commerce website for online trading purposes. The framework of Magento eCommerce provides the functionality that is robust enough to be used for other purposes thus allowing the possibilities of integrating an external face recognition application. With a simple yet customizable architecture, the Magento eCommerce is believed to be fully customizable for implementations of several policies. The face recognition application utilizes the computer web-camera for detecting and capturing of users’ face. Image captured via the application can be used for future manipulation such as facial recognition and user identification. Tight integration of both applications is believed to allow more complex tasks to be conducted within the user space thus generating more possibilities and features from the basics. It is hoped that this flexible and extensible platform is able to provide a new perspective and options into the traditional approach.
