Summary: | For each music track, music collections are generally presented as plain textual lists of artist, title, album etc. It becomes very difficult for users to browse and access the large volume of personal music libraries. No established convenient user interfaces exist, especially for mobile devices, in respect to possible information visualization techniques.
The new iOS application SongNet visualizes the user’s music library on his/her iPhone or iPod. Using a similarity algorithm designed by the author, SongNet displays the six nearest songs to the song chosen by the user, in a beautifully presented visualization. This visualization is highly interactive and allows the user to browse intuitively through his entire music collection with ease.
