description Telemedicine is emerging as a fast growing medical technology in the health care industry. In Singapore, telemedicine is at a beginning stage and primarily used in public healthcare sectors. As Singapore expects to face an increase in ageing population, there is a demand for telemedicine to be used in the private healthcare industry. To popularize telemedicine among private practices, an all-in-one integrated system, Healthcare Information System (HIS) will include the Clinic, Pharmacy, Laboratory and Radiologist modules. A Laboratory Information System (LIS) was developed in this project. However, not all lab tests have been included in the LIS, thus further development could be done to improve the comprehensiveness of it. Also, further research could be done to improve the security of LIS.
