description Acoustic wave focusing in desired space and time is an important research topic in domains such as medical imaging, therapy, underwater acoustics and metal destructive testing. In this project, firstly, focusing of the acoustic wave by using the time reversal mirror method is investigated. Then, the time reversal mirror focusing is compared with the spatial inverse filter focusing. The comparison is based on the monochromatic propagation matrix and spatial focusing in homogeneous medium. Finally, the spatial inverse filter focusing is extended to time domain and spatiotemporal inverse filter focusing is investigated for space and time domain focusing.
