More recently, major IT companies like TATA communications, Amazon and most recently Google chose Singapore as their location for their data centres for the region. The main culprit of high energy consumption in a data centre (DC) is the cooling system where it can be consume as much as 70% of the total energy. This large amount of energy can be explored further to find, more energy efficient techniques to tap into this growing demand.
