description This report describes the Industry Sponsored Project (ISP), which is the pioneer collaboration between Nanyang Technological University (NTU) School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and work with student’s sponsoring company, FMC Technologies Singapore, undertaken by the author, in the use of Software Planning and Hardware Troubleshooting Skill towards practical engineering applications. Safety, time and result efficiency are concerns in each component hydrostatic pressure test process. These are critical, complex and time-consuming task to perform by Technical personnel and Quality Assurance/Quality Check Officer. This Final Year Project (FYP) aims to model the High Pressure Test Cell and control by a central Graphic User Interface (GUI) station wirelessly, which allow technical and QA/QC personnel perform testing process under a safe environment. Moreover, the GUI is capable to configure, monitor and keep track sensors data from the hydrostatic testing system. The delivered end-product would be a user-friendly software tool that FMC employees can use it easily to run each test process. The report begins with an introduction to the background and motivations of this project and listing the specific objective in Chapter 1, it will give a brief explain FMC high pressure test safety precaution and current problem that what employee is facing now. Followed by Chapter 2, it will explain the study on why is choosing ZigBee wireless module as wireless transmit device and some technical background on it. In Chapter 3, it will touch on how the entire wireless monitor and control system design and development process is? What Software being used to develop in this project? And GUI feather introduction. Finally, come to Chapter 4 and 5 is documented the relevant test result and concludes the report with accomplishments of the project, the various challenge faced throughout the project and future recommendations.
