Summary:The rapid industrialization in many developed countries allows people to afford personal vehicles. As a result, we are facing atmospheric pollution and depletion of natural resources and ways to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases from motor vehicles are necessary. In the latest technological trend growth, Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) are a promising technology for environment benign motor vehicles. It uses electricity to charge the batteries in the vehicles but the load demand of electricity will gradually increase. Therefore, the power distribution management in the network needs to be effective and efficient to cater for future needs especially for the residents’ cars.
