Description
Summary:Jumpers are employed in the subsea oil and gas field for the purpose of production fluid transportation from one subsea component to another. It consists of 2 connectors at each end and a pipeline (flexible or hard) in between. In addition to production fluid, jumpers are also used for the purpose of chemical/ water injection into the well. The aim of this project is to generate a structural analysis spreadsheet to verify the structural strength of a well jumper design is adequate for its specific application. The structural analysis spreadsheet focuses on the strength verification of pipelines for M-shape well jumper. Kellogg general analytical method was the method employed in the verification tool in determining the reactions of jumper due to various functional loads. ASME B31.8 and DNV-OS-F101 were used as the verification guideline for well jumper strength verification.
