description This report aims to evaluate the short-term thermal comfort of students inside different-sized air-conditioned teaching facilities, and to compare if there are significant differences of their perception to the actual temperature of the indoor facilities. Correlation of Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) with indoor carbon dioxide concentration level would be evaluated as well. Survey answers from the students and an accurate of measurement of both temperature and carbon dioxide concentration using TSI-OPC and IQM 60 machines would be used for discussion in this report. It was found that although most of the data obtained were within the limits of the guidelines set by ASHRAE, many respondents still felt cold and some had symptoms of SBS. The indoor concentration of carbon dioxide was found to have a close correlation with higher percentage of students suffering from SBS. Even though more than half of the correspondents felt that the temperature of teaching facilities were cold, only a minute percentage stated that they were uncomfortable as their overall comfort level. Recommendations to further this study were also made at the end of the report.
