description This project demonstrates the successful development of taking digital photographs (images) captured on a camera or handphone and converting it into a piece of art using artwork effects such as cartoonisation, black and white and many more. This was achieved by developing an application that utilises basic image processing tools, through the use of algorithms with MATLAB as the software platform. A Graphical User Interface was created to make it simple and easy for users to carry out their desired effects using the application.
