description | Everyday, the number of accidents on the road increases proportionally with the increasing demand for automobiles and motor cycles. By nature, the motor cycles are more exposed to the dangerous environment and account for most of the injury and mortality rates seen on the roads. In Singapore, this number makes up an astonishing 45% of the casualties of road accidents. As COE and gas prices continue to rise, this problem is expected to escalate as consumers opt for the cheaper motor cycles, which is a global phenomenon. Based on current available technology, this project is to design a road safety lamp device to enhance the safety of motor cyclists. Ultimately, a functional prototype will be developed. |
