description | The world is moving fast towards using renewable energy sources for electric power generation. Various concepts are introduced for the environmental friendly power generation and transmitting to the customer. This makes the concept of decentralized generation to become an active part in the power system. In de-centralized generation, the power levels are medium or low. Moreover, power can be transmitted in the form of stored energy in a vehicle. This vehicle-to-grid (V2G) concept, which uses plug-in electric or hybrid vehicles to store and supply energy to the grid, is gaining popularity. This dissertation addresses wireless power transfer scheme used in vehicle to the grid application. |
