Description
Summary:Currently, the training programmes of life insurance companies have placed little emphasis on personal financial planning for life insurance agents. This porject aims to deisn an Career Performance/Potential-Life Cycle (CPLC) Matrix which incorporates financial planning as its main feature so as to supplement the training programmes of life insurance agents. It will help life insurance agents to quickly recognise the differing needs and affordability of clients and tailor insurance plans to suit those needs. Interviews and surveys were conducted to access the level of adequacy of current training on personal financial planning. Results of interviews with training managers of the major life insurance companies provided an understanding of the general training programmes used currently in the industry. Surveys with life insurance agents revealed their opinions on the training in which they have undergone.
