description | Li-ion polymer batteries have garnered a huge interest in recent years due to its potential and effectiveness as a consumer product. At present, there are many studies going on for solid-state polymer batteries but very few on polymer gel electrolyte batteries. Here, we identify a polymer, P(VDF-CO-HFP), to be the main material used in the polymer gel electrolyte battery. A systemic study into the properties of P(VDF-CO-HFP) based polymer gel electrolytes was done using various techniques such as FESEM, TGA, DSC, XRD and Impedance Analysis. The effect of different carbon-based electrodes was also investigated in the pursuit of optimizing the polymer gel electrolyte battery. |
