Synthesis and characterization of Perylenemonoimide Polyoxometalate Hybrid

A novel perylene covalently-attached polyoxometalate (POM) hybrid has been designed, synthesized and characterized. Both perylene derivatives and POMs hybrids are known for their interesting electronic and photophysical properties, thus attaching these two creates a promising material fo...

description A novel perylene covalently-attached polyoxometalate (POM) hybrid has been designed, synthesized and characterized. Both perylene derivatives and POMs hybrids are known for their interesting electronic and photophysical properties, thus attaching these two creates a promising material for light harvesting applications. The study of this hybrid’s electron transfer mechanism also may provide further knowledge for future research and development of POMs and derivatives of POMs which have received increasing attention over the past few decades.
