description This research paper seeks to analyze the intersection between disability and song and dance sequences in Bollywood films within the last decade. Song and dance sequences as fixed structures presume the ability of bodies to lip sync and dance in a particular manner. These structures exclude difference and project uniformity. Where are 'disabled' bodies then located? How is disability treated in song and dance sequences? Can difference be introduced in these structures? My research paper will address these questions in the analysis of bodies in song and dance sequences from five films: Khamoshi - The Musical, Koi Mil Gaya, Koyla, Black, Taare Zameen Par, My Name is Khan and Barfi!.
